Meet a hundred people. Find the right one six months later.

After a conversation, talk for a minute about who you just met. Months later, ask in your own words — and FOLKO finds them, even when the name is gone.

See how it works
A hundred faded name badges from past events. You ask who knows a lawyer in Rotterdam, and one badge lights up: Mark Jensen. The app answers that Mark’s brother Lars is a lawyer in Rotterdam who works on transport contracts, so Mark can introduce you.

Real screen from the app, with sample contacts.

Six months later, all you remember is that you talked.

At a meetup or a conference people tell you what they do, what they need and who they know. Your phone keeps the name and the number. It doesn’t keep the conversation — and the conversation is what you need when someone asks “do you know anyone who…?”

What they do

Not the job title — what they actually work on.

Who they know

The sister, the old colleague, the investor they mentioned.

Where you met

The event, the city, the month.

Talk for a minute. Ask months later.

Real screens from the app, filled with sample contacts.

  1. FOLKO recording screen: “Tell me what you remember”, a live waveform, 0:08 on the timer and a Stop button.
Recording a note after a meeting.

    Talk

Walking out of the event, say who you met and what they told you. Your own words, hesitations included. No fields to fill in.

    60–90 seconds

  2. Profile of Mark Jensen, Commercial Director at Cargoway Logistics, Copenhagen: met at a logistics conference on August 29, next action “Call him back, today”.
    What’s kept once you confirm.

    Check

FOLKO pulls out the person, the facts, the people they mentioned and what each of you promised. You read it and fix anything before it’s saved.

Nothing is saved until you confirm

  3. FOLKO search screen: a field “What are you looking for?” with a microphone button, and example questions to ask out loud, such as “Who do I know in construction?” and “Who promised to introduce me to someone?”.
Type the question, or tap the mic and say it.

    Ask

Type or say the question the way you’d ask a friend. You get the person and the reason — what was said, and by whom.

    By voice or text

Voice note, 0:52

“Just met Daniel Okafor at the fintech meetup in Lisbon — he runs partnerships at a payments startup. They’re hiring a head of sales in Berlin. Oh, and his sister Ada is a patent attorney in London. He’ll send me their deck on Monday.”

Sometimes the right person is someone you’ve never met.

Daniel mentioned his sister once. FOLKO kept her as a person of her own — no number, no surname, just “Ada, patent attorney, London, Daniel’s sister”. Months later you ask who knows a patent attorney, and the answer comes with the route.

A contact app has no field for her. She exists in one sentence Daniel said to you.

Mark Jensen’s profile scrolled down. Under “Who they know”: Lars, lawyer, Rotterdam, brother, works on transport contracts.
Mark mentioned his brother once. Lars has a place of his own.

You don’t need the name. Or the exact word.

Search matches what you meant, not the letters you typed.

“the logistics guy from Hamburg”“anyone in shipping?”Tom Becker
“she organises conferences in Lisbon”“an event planner?”Sofia Marín

It remembers what you promised, too.

“I’ll send you the intro.” “He’ll call on Friday.” Promises in both directions come out of the note as follow-ups — with the date, when one was said — so the one you owe doesn’t quietly expire.

For people who meet more people than they can keep track of.

Founders

Every event leaves you with investors, hires and partners you’ll need later — not now.

Sales and business development

Who knows whom is the shortest route to a warm intro, and your CRM only tracks deals.

Consultants and advisors

Your next client is usually someone a past client mentioned.

Also for members of referral groups and business clubs, where “who do you know who…?” is asked every week.

Not for you if you meet the same twelve people every week.

What people tell you is sensitive. Here’s exactly where it goes.

On your phone

Your contacts, facts, the people they mentioned and every transcript. No account, no login.

The recording

Sent to our server to be transcribed, never written to disk there. On your phone it’s deleted once the note is saved.

When you ask

Your contacts’ facts travel with the question to be answered. We keep none of it afterwards.

Backup

You make it yourself in Settings — one ZIP file saved where you choose. It isn’t encrypted yet, so keep it somewhere private.

How we measured

Tested on 15 recordings read aloud from a script — 12 in Lithuanian, 3 in English, one speaker (n=15): 95% of mentioned people and 93% of facts were found, and no facts were invented, scored against answers marked by hand. Reading is clearer than real talk, so treat these as optimistic.

On iPhone and Android, from 4 November.

FOLKO comes to the App Store and Google Play on the same day. There’s nothing to sign up for before then, and no account to make after.

Questions

Is there an iPhone version?

Yes. FOLKO comes to the App Store and Google Play on the same day, 4 November.

Do the people I talk about know?

You’re not recording the conversation — you record yourself afterwards. What you’re told about someone is still their information, so the rule is simple: don’t save anything you wouldn’t say to their face.

Which languages?

English and Lithuanian today. Spanish and Dutch are planned.

What happens to the recording?

It’s transcribed and never stored on our server. On your phone it’s deleted as soon as the note is saved; the transcript and facts stay.
